Schedule

Below is the schedule for the three phases of the project, including Design/Proposal, Construction, and Testing. In order to start construction early the proposal was completed by the end of fall quarter. Construction started in the middle of December due to time constraints during the quarter and was completed by that first week of the spring quarter. The testing has been taking place during spring quarter. Estimated totals for all 3 phases has led to a total of 233.25 hours. The current total for the project is 244 hours which is 10.75 hours over budget. A breakdown of the phases can be seen in the schedule summary table below and the entire schedule can be seen in Figures 1 through 3.

Budget

The total budget for the project ended up being $7590. The major costs of this project is due to the high price of steel, which is needed for the crushing shafts, and the housing plates. Some cost was avoided with reusing the existing pillow blocks, shafts, and crushing wheels. Throughout manufacturing there was no excessive cost for outsourcing of labor. The budget for time spent of the project is $6000 for 300 hours at $20 an hour. The funding of this project has been generously provided by JCATI. The project came in $271.33 under budget in the end. See Table 2 for a tabulated version of the total budget and Table 3 for the comparison of the budget to the actual expenditures.
